about us

our provide the best English Bulldog rescue care in Illinois, Southeastern Wisconsin and Northwestern Indiana.

our goal...
to reinvent English Bulldog Rescue in our service area and provide the best outcomes and experiences for the bulldogs in our care, for our adoptive homes and for our volunteers.

our credentials...all of our officers are members of the Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network (BCARN). Our leadership team has over 50 aggregate years of rescue experience and currently cares for 22 bulldogs as personal pets.

our philosophy...
we walk our talk when we say Adopt-Don't Shop. We do not buy bulldogs for our program. We abhor puppy mills and brokers and we do not believe it is ethical to compensate them for their unscrupulous trafficking of our breed.
Bulldogs are surrendered to our care by owners, shelters, legal authorities and puppy mills at no expense to rescue or our donors.

our plan...please read our Surrender, Adopt and Volunteer pages to learn more about how adoptaBull is reinventing English Bulldog Rescue for our clients and supporters.

In Memorium- David W. Wagner

Meetup and adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue have lost a beloved friend. David Wagner (our group photographer Peter's father) passed away peacefully at 9:30pm yesterday at the age of 79.

David had a myriad of interests from photography to classic cars but his passion for English Bulldogs brought him to a close connection with the Chicago English Bulldog Meetup Group and adoptaBull. Many of our longstanding Meetup members would have had a chance to meet David when he was able to attend our Meetups. You could always see the joy in his face when he met a new Bulldog at one of our events over the last 10 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations can be made to adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue in David's memory. adoptaBull has set up the David W. Wagner Memorial Fund for your donation. You can click the link to make an online donation. Checks payable to adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue can also be sent to adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue, PO Box 06657, Chicago, IL  60606.

He will be missed. Please keep Pete and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
