                        ALERT!

  Natura Announces Pet Food Recall

Natura Pet Foods, manufacturer of the popular brands California Natural, EVO, Innova, Healthwise, Karma and Mother Nature has announced a third recall of its products.

This recall includes all dates and lot codes for its dry kibble products and treats. The only exception to this recall are canned food products. The company identified salmonella in one batch and has made the decision to withdraw all product produced prior to 6/10/2013.

Retailers have been advised to discontinue selling these products and remove them from their shelves immediately. If you have any unused product in your home we would suggest that you discontinue using it and contact your retailer to see if they are offering credits.

We also recommend thoroughly washing and sanitizing any storage containers you may have used to store the food to avoid the possibility of cross contamination.

adoptaBull/Puppy Mill Project Collar & Leash Initiative a Great Success!

We want to thank everyone that stopped by on 4/6/2013 to join us and all of the great volunteers from The Puppy Mill Project to launch their cooperative initiative with Collar & Leash (located in Old Town, Chicago) for their new "Humane Pet Store Business Model". It was a watershed event for pet store puppy sales in the Chicago area.

We hope this will become a model in cities across the country. Watch for us at additional Collar & Leash events this summer!

Click The Puppy Mill Project to see some great photos from this event. Visit these web sites for more information and updates on this ongoing initiative.

We are incredibly excited to launch adoptaBull.org and bring a new vision of English Bulldog rescue to Illinois, Southeastern Wisconsin and Northwestern Indiana. Yes...we're a new organization but we have some of the most experienced bulldog rescue volunteers in the area and our volunteer list is growing daily.

Our adoption model does not tell you what bulldog is right for you. Our Case Managers work with you to find the best bulldog that fits with your lifestyle as well as the needs of the bulldog in our foster care.

There is nothing more rewarding that knowing that you have played a role in rehoming an English Bulldog. We believe our Volunteer program offers great rewards for great people. Check out our Volunteers page for more details on volunteering with adoptaBull English Bulldog Rescue.

We are now open for intakes and have already begun qualifying bulldogs for our program. We will begin accepting adoption applications on 1/1/2013.

volunteer!
We're a dedicated group of volunteers and are looking for others to join us in our important misson. While we require English Bulldog ownership experience to volunteer as a foster home, let's talk if you have a passion for the breed and want to help us with your skills.

adoptaBull respects the time that our volunteers devote to helping us achieve our mission and we are committed to providing the best volunteer experience.
